Biographical sketch

Aekkhaluck Intharuksa, Ph.D., a lecturer of Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Pharmacognosy sector, obtained his Ph.D. in Medical Sciences (Pharmaceutical Sciences) from Kanazawa University, Japan in March 2016. His dissertation focused the quality control of Thai traditional formulation (Thai Triphala) using a molecular technique (DNA marker and DNA barcode) and chemical analysis. After he graduated, he joined the faculty of Pharmacy, Chiang Mai University as a lecturer in April 2016. Furthermore, he is a collaborative professor of Kanazawa University. He is researching in the quality evaluation of Thai medicinal plants, crude drugs, and commercial herbal products using the combination of molecular and chemical technique. Moreover, he is interesting in Ethnobotany and herbal usage of Lanna area and hill tribes.
